FountainRX

Fountains & water features tend to have major algae problems for many reasons. Poor circulation, no filtration and design. The FountainRX cannot obviously help with any of those. But what you will achieve using the FountainRX is:

  • Far better control of the algae
  • Less chemicals
  • No toxic chemical odor

Do not use in fish ponds; the minerals are toxic to fish and algae.

It’s Secret:

At FountainRX we are proud to say we have come up with a unique and amazing mineral formulation and rejuvenation process harnessing the best nature has to offer in eliminating algae and bacteria naturally. This mineral formula is the most effective algaecide there is against any type of algae.

There are two parts to this product:

  • Minerals in the water
  • Metallic rod

Minerals in the water

We have packed the minerals into the middle of the rod. This is enough minerals for a 100 gallon to 400 liters. If your Fountain is larger than that see chart below to work out how much additional minerals or units and minerals you will need.

Metallic Rod

The rod in the cage is a specially treated alloy that has rejuvenating abilities on the copper, silver and zinc minerals. Allowing these minerals to continually defend and attack algae and bacteria in the water 24hrs a day, 7 days a week and lengthening the mineral replacement time to 1 to 3 months. Yes that’s right! Minerals only need to be replaced every 3 months.

Where do I install it?

Simply place the fountain unit into the leaf trap of the pump. If there is no pump or skimmer, place the unit in the water feature where the circulation is good.

What happens when I place the unit in the fountain?

The minerals will dissolve out of the unit. The minerals go out into the whole volume of water and form a stable residual, allowing the minerals to eliminate algae and bacteria where ever they are in the water. These minerals are totally effective against algae and bacteria but totally harmless to plants. The minerals do not gas off & do not give off an odor.

How often do I replace the unit?

The unit needs to be replaced every year and replacement minerals every 3 months with the mineral granules.

Why every year?

The treated metallic rod over the year gets oxidized and calcified so when the minerals pass back over it they do not get the ion exchange between the minerals and the rod.

When will I know to replace the minerals?

Unfortunately because of our patented sequestrant agent, no testing reagent can give you an accurate reading. However it’s really easy to know when to replace the minerals. When you see a small amount of algae reforming you know it’s time to replace the minerals or a regular maintenance program of every 3 months.

Is it always every 3 months?

Every Fountain/water feature is different. Some bodies of water need more sanitizing than others. Leaves and debris, birds, algae bloom and bad circulation all contribute to how hard the minerals work. With problem water features more minerals may need to be added more often than every 3 months.

Where do I add the granular replacement minerals?

The minerals can be added directly into the water. The minerals are natural and non corrosive so they can be added anywhere in the water.

NB- The minerals do not need to go back into the unit. They just need to be replaced in the water again & the booster tablet will dissolve and the minerals will circulate throughout the whole body of water and are rejuvenated when passing back over the rod in the pump basket.

Reduced Chemical Fountain:

A reduced chemical fountain is attainable and would work great on an indoor fountain/water feature so there is no chemical odor. Not only reducing chemicals but automating the sanitization of the fountain.

This will take the FountainRx Complete system:

  • FountainRX minerals
  • Corona Discharge Ozone
  • In Line chlorine feeder

These 3 elements will create sparkling clear water with less chemicals and chlorine levels that are below drinking water standards that are almost undetectable by humans, with little or no maintenance.
