FountainRx Installation Guide - First time installation

• Clean out or backwash the filter.
• Clean leaf trap basket and skimmer basket.
• Do not add chlorine unless the reading is below 0.5 ppm.
• Adjust pool chemistry to ideal levels.
• Place the blue plastic cylindrical unit in the leaf trap basket in the filter (preferable) or in the skimmer leaf basket.
• The minerals in the core of the ionization rod will slowly dissolve and be dispersed into the pool.
• A blue cloud may appear from the inflow jets in the pool. This is normal and will disappear when the circulation distributes the minerals throughout the entire pool.
• The concentration of minerals is determined by the volume of water. See chart for guide to correct dosages.
• Continue to maintain the basic  water chemistry on a weekly basis.
